‘X-Men ’97’ Season 2 Unveils New Characters, Costumes and Teams

Marvel has just rolled out the promotional art for X-Men ’97 Season 2, and it is full of surprises. Beware of the spoilers below.

The season finale of X-Men ’97 had the characters scattered across time and space, ending on a massive cliffhanger. With Season 2 around the corner, we are now getting new looks at the characters through official promotional art.

It looks like the characters are being grouped together into teams with names that comic book fans will instantly recognize. Cable’s team appears to be X-Force, made up of Cable, Archangel, Psylocke, Sunspot, and Jubilee. Another group featuring Beast, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Polaris is called X-Corp. There is also a team called Ancient Egypt Team that includes Beast, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Bishop, and Magneto.

These are mostly characters we have already seen a lot of, aside from Archangel. The really interesting part is the inclusion of a team called X-Factor, made up of Havok, Polaris, Strong Guy, Wolfsbane, Multiple Man, and Val Cooper. While Polaris and Val Cooper appeared in Season 1, Strong Guy, Havok, Wolfsbane, and Multiple Man are brand new additions to the lineup.
