Elizabeth Banks is set to star in a new one hour series at Apple TV, Nexus Point News has learned.

The untitled series follows Heidi, played by Banks, a newly divorced mother of three who is cautiously stepping back into the dating world. As she attempts to rediscover romance, Heidi must also navigate the daily chaos of raising her children and supporting her father, who has unexpectedly found love of his own at his assisted living facility.

The project, which is currently in development, marks the latest collaboration between the streamer and 20th Century Studios, continuing Apple TV’s relationship with the studio following the upcoming drama Imperfect Women, which is slated to premiere this spring. Banks will executive produce alongside her husband Max Handelman under their Brownstone Productions banner. Also executive producing are Krissy Wall, Quinn Haberman, Jason Winer and Jon Radler. Handelman and Wall recently produced the Karen Read biopic for Prime Video, which also stars Banks. Nexus Point has reached out to Elizabeth Banks’ reps and Apple TV for comment.

Liz Heldens and Matt Ward serve as writers and executive producers on the project. Heldens is known for her work on Will Trent and The Dropout, while Ward previously collaborated with Haberman and Radler on The Big Leap.

Banks is best known for her portrayal of Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games film franchise. She recently starred opposite Jessica Biel in The Better Sister and will next appear in The Miniature Wife alongside Matthew Macfadyen. Banks and Brownstone are repped by UTA, Untitled Entertainment and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.

Production is scheduled to begin in May and will continue through the end of summer.
