It wasn't long ago that the exciting news broke about a new spin-off of The Office, created by Greg Daniels (The Office) and Michael Koman (Nathan For You). This anticipated series will be set in the same universe as the original The Office. While it's still unknown whether some faces from the original series will make an appearance, the spin-off has already added some new names. It was recently reported that Domhnall Gleeson (About Time, Ex Machina) and Sabrina Impacciatore (White Lotus) would star in the series. Additionally, we've got a basic premise for the spin-off:
The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.
In addition to this information, we are excited to share that we have discovered the name of the series and the writers' room lineup. The new The Office spin-off is called The Paper, according to listings on the Writers Guild of America website. The title is simple and to the point, much like The Office, and it serves as a common denominator for both series; from paper company to newspaper and publishing...
The writers' room of the series includes the following names, apart from the creators and co-showrunners Daniels and Koman:
Paul B. Lieberstein (The Office, The Newsroom), you might recognize the name since Lieberstein portrayed the much-hated HR head Toby in The Office.
Jessi R. Klein (Dead to Me, Big Mouth, Mrs. Fletcher)
Amanda Rosenberg (Big Door Prize, Fate: Winx Saga)
Ben Philippe (Only Murders in the Building, Interview With the Vampire)
Patrick Kang (Trial & Error, Young Rock)
Michael Levin (Trial & Error, Young Rock)
While the WGA listings confirm the involvement of these individuals in The Paper, their specific roles within the series remain undisclosed. The series is also listed for 2024-2025 TV Season. Considering we have got a few announcements recently, I believe it won't be long until we get some more cast announcements and details.

Ahhh.... I was thinking to myself 'the much hated HR guy Toby.'??
Then I realized it meant the workers on the office. Not the fans. My brain hasn't woken up yet. Anyway... I can't wait for this show!
