Created by Ramón Campos and set inside an exclusive luxury resort, Netflix’s Oasis follows a group of wealthy guests and employees whose seemingly perfect summer is shattered when a young woman named Celia disappears. With the police locking down the resort and treating everyone as a potential suspect, hidden tensions and long-buried secrets begin to surface, turning paradise into the setting of a complex mystery.

As Dani and Helena launch their own search for answers, the series gradually evolves beyond a missing-person case, intertwining betrayals, family conflicts, and a criminal conspiracy hidden beneath Oasis Infinity’s glamorous façade. By the finale, several shocking revelations come to light, exposing the truth behind Celia’s disappearance and the people responsible.

Here’s everything that happens in the ending of Oasis.

Why was Celia kidnapped in Oasis?

Celia’s disappearance begins after she uncovers a secret hidden beneath the Oasis Infinity resort. While investigating the basement with Dani and Helena, she starts connecting clues that lead back to her own family. Eventually, she discovers that her father, Luis, has been involved in an illegal operation that uses the resort as a cover for drug trafficking.

Luis never intended to harm his daughter, but once Celia learned the truth, the situation spiraled out of his control. His partner in the scheme, Inspector Sandra Ortega, saw Celia as a threat capable of exposing everything and decided to act before that could happen.

Sandra Ortega was behind everything

The series spends several episodes making other suspects seem guilty, including Jaén and even Sub-Inspector Ginés. But the finale reveals that Ortega had been manipulating the investigation from the beginning.

Her position within the police allowed her to redirect suspicion, hide evidence, and push innocent people into the spotlight while she secretly kept Celia captive. Even Ginés, who gradually became suspicious of his superior, was framed with planted evidence. Ortega’s actions explain why the investigation repeatedly reached dead ends: she was controlling it from the inside.

What really happened to Helena?

One of the season’s first mysteries centers on Helena, who wakes up with no memory of the previous night and fears that something terrible happened to her. The CCTV footage showing her leaving the basement only raises more questions and makes it seem as though her experience could somehow be connected to Celia’s disappearance.

The truth is revealed when Jaén admits that he drugged Helena after she accidentally caught him dealing drugs. Panicking, he tried to stop her from exposing the operation, but his actions only created more suspicion around him. While Jaén’s involvement makes him an important piece of the puzzle, he ultimately had nothing to do with Celia’s kidnapping, which was part of a much larger conspiracy orchestrated by Ortega.

How is Celia saved?

Ortega’s scheme starts to collapse when Dani and Helena finally piece together the truth behind Celia’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Luis tries to reason with his accomplice and persuade her to let his daughter go, but Ortega has already decided that the only way to protect herself is to erase any trace of the conspiracy. After knocking Luis unconscious, she prepares to stage the situation in a way that would keep her role in both the kidnapping and the drug operation hidden.

However, before Ortega can go through with her plan, Dani and Helena arrive and force a confrontation that gives the police enough time to intervene. Celia is rescued alive, and the evidence tying Ortega to the crimes quickly piles up. With the truth finally exposed, the corrupt inspector is arrested, bringing down the trafficking network that had been operating behind the luxury resort and putting an end to the mystery surrounding Celia’s disappearance.

What happens to Luis?

Although Luis survives the events of the finale, his future remains uncertain. While he was not responsible for kidnapping his daughter, he knowingly participated in the criminal operation hidden beneath Oasis Infinity.

His attempts to protect Celia came too late, and the ending suggests that he will have to face the consequences of his actions. In many ways, the series presents this as the ultimate price for years of neglect and poor decisions.

Who does Dani choose?

The finale avoids giving a definitive answer regarding Dani’s love life. Throughout the season, he forms a close connection with both Celia and Helena, but the final scene deliberately leaves things unresolved.

Instead of confirming a romance, Oasis focuses on the fact that Dani has managed to keep both friendships intact after everything they endured together. Whether his feelings eventually lead him toward Celia or Helena remains one of the biggest unanswered questions heading into a possible second season.
