Tensions reach a breaking point in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 6, “Requiem,” as the fallout from Vanessa Fisk’s fate sends shockwaves across the city.
With Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) consumed by grief and Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) pushed into increasingly difficult choices, the episode raises the stakes on every front. At the same time, the long-awaited return of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) brings new momentum to the fight, hinting at a much larger conspiracy behind Fisk’s operation.
Here’s a full recap of everything that happens in Episode 6.
Fisk’s grief turns deadly
The episode opens in the hospital, where Fisk sits beside Vanessa’s lifeless body. A doctor approaches to offer condolences, but the moment quickly turns brutal — Fisk embraces him, then crushes him to death in a sudden, violent outburst.
After killing the doctor, Fisk kisses Vanessa’s forehead and leaves the room, as Buck steps in behind him to handle the aftermath.
Vanessa’s funeral follows at a church, where Fisk places a rose on her casket, silently mourning as memories of their relationship surface. He leaves without addressing anyone, already retreating into something darker.
A moral divide grows between Matt and Karen
Elsewhere, Matt and Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) are hiding Benjamin Poindexter (Wilson Bethel), who remains unconscious and chained to a bed. Soledad treats his wounds, warning that he lost significant blood but could survive if properly cared for.
The tension between Matt and Karen intensifies immediately after. Karen argues that Dex should be left to die — or worse — blaming him for the chaos consuming the city. Angela agrees, pointing out how much damage he has caused. Matt refuses, holding firm to his belief that taking a life would cross a line they cannot come back from.

After Soledad and Angela leave, the argument deepens. Karen reflects on past events, including the night Dex killed Father Lantom and nearly killed Matt. She questions whether they were wrong to stop Matt from killing Fisk back then — and whether this conflict can truly end without one of them dying.
Matt rejects that idea completely, insisting that vengeance is not justice. But Karen is no longer convinced.
Fisk tightens control as pressure builds
At City Hall and beyond, pressure continues to mount on Fisk’s operation. A public vigil for Vanessa quickly turns into unrest, with protesters calling out Fisk and the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, accusing them of disappearances and abuses.
Behind the scenes, Fisk’s allies begin shifting positions. Governor McCaffrey explores alternative leadership options, while Charles — whose operation is now compromised — confronts Fisk directly, only to be dismissed.
Meanwhile, Buck begins testing Daniel’s loyalty. Suspecting a leak, he introduces a strategy to expose a mole by feeding false information and tracking where it resurfaces.
Jessica Jones joins the fight
Matt goes to one of Fisk’s warehouses, where Jessica Jones had asked to meet him.
She reveals that armed men attacked her home earlier that day while her daughter Danielle was inside — and makes it clear they were not part of Fisk’s Task Force. After looking into it, Jessica uncovers a broader network behind Fisk’s operation, potentially tied to powerful figures beyond the city, with Charles acting as a key intermediary.
Jessica also admits her powers haven’t been stable since having her daughter. Her strength can suddenly fade and return without warning. Despite that, they move in together and attack the warehouse.
Jessica breaks through first, with Daredevil following as they take down multiple agents. Mid-fight, her strength falters, giving Powell an opening to overpower her. He moves to kill her, but Matt intervenes and pulls her out.

Karen wants to kill Bullseye
Back at the hideout, Dex regains consciousness — and immediately begins provoking Karen. He frames everything as a twisted equation: Foggy’s death and his own survival. Karen, visibly shaken but resolute, points a gun directly at his head. For a moment, it seems like she’s going to pull the trigger, but Matt intervenes at the last second, knocking the gun from her hand.
The aftermath is explosive. Karen accuses Matt of always choosing the wrong people — of letting killers live while others pay the price. She reveals that Christofi never made it into protection and that her source likely never aired his testimony. Disillusioned, she walks away from Matt, making it clear she no longer believes in his approach.
Fisk and Daredevil face off as the resistance grows
As protests grow outside City Hall, Karen takes action. Disguised among the crowd, she sets up a projector and broadcasts testimonies from victims of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force — including Soledad and others who were detained without cause. Their statements expose illegal detentions, abuse, and disappearances, turning public opinion further against Fisk. The word “RESIST” appears projected across City Hall.
Inside City Hall, Fisk and Daredevil finally come face to face. Matt offers something unexpected — not a threat, but a way out. He proposes that they both walk away from New York, ending the cycle of violence before it destroys everything.
Fisk doesn’t accept. Instead, the conversation turns into a brutal fight. Fisk unleashes his rage, overpowering Matt and beating him to the ground, but Daredevil refuses to stay down, continuing to push back. Neither man is willing to stop.
Outside, the situation quickly spirals out of control. As tension rises in the crowd, Powell takes Agent Sanders aside and makes it clear that he knows Sanders helped Daredevil enter the base and rescue the prisoners. Without hesitation, Powell shoots him point-blank, killing him instantly. He then downplays the incident with a cold “damn vigilantes,” before loudly blaming them for the shooting in front of everyone present.
Using Sanders’ death as justification, Powell orders an immediate escalation. Task Force agents draw their weapons and begin advancing on the crowd, turning the protest into a violent crackdown.
Amidst the chaos, Karen’s secret identity is revealed when someone in the crowd accidentally knocks off her wig. While she helps a friend of Angela’s, who is injured on the ground, she is discovered. Powell sees her, recognizes her immediately, and approaches with his gun drawn. He stops a few feet away and points the gun directly at her. “Holy shit. Karen fucking Page”, he says.
What will happen to Karen is still uncertain, and only the next episode can answer that.
