The biggest panel that people have been waiting days for has finally arrived, with people camping outside since Thursday just to get into Marvel Studios’ panel.
All attendees at the panel received a Doctor Doom mask and cape to help get them hyped for Avengers: Doomsday, which had its trailer released earlier in the week. To keep the attendees happy as they wait for the panel to begin, H.E.R.B.I.E is speeding around on the stage, sporting his The Fantastic Four: First Steps look instead of his latest changes that were seen in the Avengers: Doomsday trailer.
There are some major announcements that are expected to be showcased, and with the mentions of Ryan Coogler being in attendance and a motorcycle engine revving, we’re likely to be in for a treat. We’ll be listing all the major announcements below as they come in live.
An MCU sizzle reel was shown to attendees exclusively, which showcased new footage of Avengers: Doomsday before Kevin Feige took to the stage to discuss VisionQuest briefly, which will be releasing on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. It was described by Kevin Feige as “the end of the WandaVision trilogy”, which began with WandaVision, continued with Agatha All Along and is now coming to an end in October.
An exclusive trailer was showcased for Avengers: Endgame Encore, which featured footage of the crowd reacting to the opening night screening of the portals scene. The rerelease will include an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday, and there are lots of shots in the trailer of Steve Rogers returning the stones while we hear the line of Tony saying, “You mess with time, it tends to mess back.” Avengers: Endgame Encore will be releasing in theatres on September 25, 2026.
Ryan Gosling Joins the MCU
The first project that Kevin Feige has announced is officially Ghost Rider, which has Ryan Gosling attached to play the titular character, with Shawn Levy returning to the MCU to direct in his second collaboration with Gosling after 2027’s Star Wars: Starfighter. Ghost Rider is set to rev into theatres in 2028.
When talking about being cast as Ghost Rider, Ryan Gosling said, “Is this really happening?! … As you know, this is a character I’ve wanted to play for a very long time … Thank you.”
No other details were revealed.
Robert Downey Jr and The Russos Take the Stage
The Russo Brothers have taken charge of the Hall H stage, bringing out the entire Avengers: Doomsday cast on stage with them. They’ve officially announced that Hayley Atwell will be returning as Agent Carter.
Ryan Reynolds has also surprised attendees by hiding in the crowd in a brand-new black and grey costume for Deadpool, representing his X-Force outfit from the comics. Paul Rudd jokes about why Thor was crying back in Deadpool & Wolverine: “He was a Wrexham fan.” There were no further details revealed surrounding Deadpool, and it’s currently unknown if he’ll be making an official return in Avengers: Doomsday.
For Reed Richards and Doctor Doom fans that were worried about their relationship, as Pedro Pascal said, both Reed and Doom will have history in Avengers: Doomsday.
Black Panther Sequel Officially Announced
Ryan Coogler has taken to the stage to officially announce that we’ll return to the world of Wakanda, with Black Panther 3 and Coogler returning to direct. It was also revealed that David Jonsson will be attached to play T’Challa II, setting the next stage for the future of the Black Panther as he’s aged from the last time we saw him in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. When talking about playing the role, Jonsson said, “The honour is entirely mine.” The movie will be shot on 70mm and will be releasing in theatres on December 15, 2028.
With new footage shown for Avengers: Doomsday and two new movies officially set for 2028, there’s a lot to be excited for with what’s coming next for Marvel Stuidos. It’s clear that they’re saving a lot of their Phase 7 slate for post-Doomsday, which is expected to be a stacked slate if Ghost Rider and Black Panther 3 are the first movies announced.
