
Guy Pearce is set to star in Andrew Baird’s new film, The Marshal. Pearce will portray a marshal who is recruited by a mysterious group to undertake a dangerous black-ops mission. Now, he must learn how far he has to go to keep his family safe.
The Marshal is set to start shooting in St. John, Newfoundland, this month and continue through the end of April. Casting for the additional cast is currently underway. Elemental Pictures will produce the feature.
Guy Pearce is a prolific character actor who is best known for his roles in films such as Christopher Nolan’s Memento, Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker, Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech, and Shane Black’s Iron Man 3. In 2025, Pearce received his first-ever Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist. Pearce can be seen in Ridley Scott’s Dog Stars and Jeffrey Walker’s Poor Boy next. He is repped by CAA, Independent Talent Group, Shanahan Management, and David Weber at Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
Andrew Baird began his directing career as a director and production designer on music videos for artists such as The Weeknd, Korn, and Kesha. He made his feature directorial debut in 2021 with the science fiction film Gate 414, which also starred Pearce. The Marshal will mark a reunion between the director and Pearce.
