EXCLUSIVE: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth are set to star in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming action feature The Kelly’s, a new Prime Video title that is preparing to go into production in Hungary this May.

The film follows Jack Kelly, a young police officer who finds himself caught in the middle of a terrorist plot. As the situation spirals out of control, Jack is forced to fight to protect his life, save his wife, and hold on to his career. Making matters even more difficult is the constant involvement of his family, a chaotic group of police officers whose instincts are described as crazy and relentless. 

Specific production details are still being kept under wraps, though the project is already moving forward at Amazon MGM Studios, which is producing the film for Prime Video. Casting on additional roles is currently underway as the studio rounds out the ensemble ahead of production.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is best known for The Terminator, Predator, and The Expendables franchises. He most recently appeared in Netflix’s FUBAR. He is also set to appear in The Man with the Bag, in which he will play Santa Claus opposite Alan Ritchson. Schwarzenegger is repped by United Talent Agency (UTA), Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher and Singer Weinsten Wolf & Jonelis.

Liam Hemsworth is best known to many audiences for his role as Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games franchise. More recently, he took over the role of Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill in Netflix’s The Witcher. Hemsworth is repped by United Talent Agency (UTA), Fourward, Morrissey Management, PMK Entertainment and Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Krintzman, Rubenstein, Kohner, Endlich, Goodell & Gellman.

The Kelly’s will also serve as a reunion for Schwarzenegger and Hemsworth, who previously appeared together in The Expendables 2.
