The next adventure for Netflix and Tomorrow Studios’ live-action One Piece has finally found a title and release date. One Piece Season 3 will be titled “The Battle of Alabasta,” and will be coming to Netflix in 2027, Nexus Point News has learned.

The season synopsis teases the Straw Hat crew’s biggest battle yet:

War is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi’s homeland. A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves. In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand.

As expected with the title announcement and synopsis, One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta will be largely adapting the rest of the Alabasta saga from the manga and specifically focusing on the Alabasta arc that will see Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) face his biggest adversary yet, Crocodile (Joe Manganiello).

This news comes after One Piece’s continued success as Season 2: Into the Grand Line was met with positive critical reception. As of last week, One Piece Season 2: Into the Grand Line was still tracking to be in the top 10 for its third week in a row, sitting at 33.8 million views but unfortunately still down from Season 1 by 33%.

The new season will star Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Taz Skylar, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Mikaela Hoover, Charithra Chandran, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Lera Abova, and Joe Manganiello. Mikaela Hoover, Joe Manganiello, Lera Abova, and Sendhil Ramamurthy have all been upgraded to series regulars for this third season of One Piece.

Season 3 additions to the cast include Xolo Maridueña, Cole Escola, Awdo Awdo, and Daisy Head.

One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta is co-run, written, and executive produced by Ian Stokes and Joe Tracz. It’s also executive produced by Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements through Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe and Steven Maeda. One Piece is created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix. Season 3 is currently in production with shooting taking place in Cape Town, South Africa.
